Eymet is a bastide town which is a popular tourist destination due to it's tranquil setting along the River Dropt. The pretty 13th Century architecture, ornate church and fountain within the Bastide square hosts a number of events throughout the year. These events range from brocantes, fetes, battle re-inactments and wine festivals. The town has a great range of commerce with many restaurants, cafés and bars, banks and supermarkets. There is a popular market held in the central square each week. The airport at Bergerac can be reached within 15 minutes and Bordeaux is just over an hour.
