The Gironde

This is the largest department in France and is a region of great diversity and natural beauty. The Gironde has a relatively low profile which is excellent news for those seeking to buy property in France. The countryside is beautiful with outstanding chateaux and vineyards and the cuisine and local produce are unsurpassed. We have 270km of wonderful beaches with Europe’s best surfing and many regard the climate as even better than the Med. For golfers, there are no less than eleven top quality courses.

Bordeaux City

This prosperous city attracts inward investment and business interest. Bordeaux is also a very attractive place to live and a serious option for those who prefer town to country. At Bordeaux you will discover the style and sophistication of a city known for its parks, boulevards, theatres, museums and cafés. It has recently undergone a major facelift with a new tramway system and pedestrianisation of the extensive quays facing the Gironde estuary.
