This beautifully presented property, where there has been great attention to detail, offers the opportunity to have a large home with adjoining apartment and guest house, set in an attractive garden. The main house comprises kitchen, large lounge/diner with stone walls and beams and three bedrooms with beams. There is a door thro' to the fourth bedroom and an upstairs kitchenette/lounge/diner with external access which could be used as a self-contained appartment. The guest house has a kitchen, lounge/diner, again with stone walls and beams and two bedrooms also with beams. In the garden is a 'gariotte', an interesting focal point together with an enormous ash tree. The whole is in a rural situation but with easy access to Gourdon, Cahors and the A20.
Location
Cahors is the 'capital' town of the Lot and is surrounded on three sides by the river Lot. It has been a town since Roman times and is especially steeped in medieval history; Henry VI sacked the town and surrounding area, along with its famous cathedral and 14th century bridge. Today, it is famous for its 'Black wine'. The A20 runs just outside Cahors making access both north and south very easy. The nearest airports are Bergerac and Toulouse both of which are an easy hour and half’s drive.
